About VetACrew
Verify first. Hire second.
VetACrew is a contractor verification platform. It uses a proprietary multi-source process to cross-check the identity, business, license, work classification, bond, insurance information, permits, complaints, and enforcement history associated with a contractor. A VetACrew Contractor Verification Report shows what the sources confirmed, what needs another look, and what could not be checked, with one of six result words on every line: confirmed, ambiguous, stale, not found, unavailable, or unsupported. VetACrew does not guarantee future workmanship.
VetACrew in plain terms
- What VetACrew is
- A contractor verification platform.
- What you buy
- The Contractor Verification Report. One report verifies one contractor.
- What you do
- Verify your contractor before you sign or pay a deposit: find the business or license on the estimate, confirm the match, and run the verification.
- How it works
- You choose the license on your estimate; VetACrew reads every covered source for it and shows each result with its source and date.
- What each result says
- One of six words: confirmed, ambiguous, stale, not found, unavailable, or unsupported. None is a verdict on the contractor.
- Where it works
- State by state, in early access. The coverage page lists where each check is live today; states not yet covered have a waitlist.
Independent by design
VetACrew does not sell your project to contractors or let contractors pay to change verification results. Read the editorial independence policy and the verification methodology.
